Who owns the initial principal in a Raise Investment account? Are my membership payments invested?

The principal is ours. The gains are yours.

When you join Raise, the money we invest for you comes from our institutional capital partners — not from your bank account. That principal stays ours (and ultimately goes back to our partners when you exit), but 100% of the gains your position earns belong to you.

Your monthly membership payment is our revenue, not part of your invested principal. That’s what keeps incentives clean:

  • You benefit from the market gains.

  • We provide the upfront exposure and maintain the structure that makes it possible.

By separating principal from membership fees, we can give you immediate market participation without putting you in debt or tying fees to the size of your account.

It's important to note that your membership payments are not invested - they're how we keep the lights on. Only our initial capital goes into the market on your behalf. This structure keeps things simple: we provide the money, you provide the monthly membership fee, and you keep all the investment gains.
